Jowat to showcase first polyurethane hot melt granules for edge banding with hazard-free labeling at the Holzhandwerk trade fair in Nuremberg, Germany.
 

Alternative Manufacturing Technologies for PU HMA

Jowat has developed alternative manufacturing technologies for polyurethane hot melt adhesives with hazard-free labeling since the early 2000s. The Jowatherm-Reaktant® MR series provides an extensive polyurethane portfolio of monomer-reduced products for a wide range of applications in the wood and furniture industry. Jowat will be presenting non-hazardous edge banding adhesive Jowatherm-Reaktant® MR 607.90 which is also available as granules. The adhesive can be used for bonding established edge bands (ABS, PP, PVC, veneer, resinated paper) in a continuous operation on edge banding machines.

The portfolio of certified one-component prepolymer polyurethane glues from the Jowapur® 681.xx product family for load-bearing glulam will also be showcased. The adhesives can be used for finger jointing assemblies as well as for laminating and allow for the choice of assembly times between 10 to 60 minutes and facilitate an assembly time-pressing time ratio of up to 1:1.

Jowat will also be showcasing Jowacoll® 119.60, the lacquer glue for bonding extremely challenging surfaces with a new, improved formulation.
