OMNOVA Solutions Announces Price Increase for Emulsion Polymers in the Americas

FAIRLAWN, OHIO -- OMNOVA Solutions Specialty Chemicals business announced a price increase of up to $0.08 per wet pound for all acrylic, styrene acrylic, and vinyl acrylic emulsion polymers. Vinyl acetate emulsion polymers will increase up to $0.04 per wet pound. In addition, PLIOWAY and PLIOLITE resins will increase by up to $0.12 per dry pound. These increases are for all specialty markets in the U.S. including coatings, tape and adhesives, floor care, graphic arts, nonwovens, textiles, construction, tire cord and oilfield chemicals. This action is necessitated by the continuing escalation in the costs of key raw materials and is in addition to previously announced increases.
