Bostik Develops H1926A, a Hot Melt Adhesive for Labeling

Labeling equipment has evolved and improved in recent years. Due to the demand for higher efficiency and productivity, engineers have increased the speeds at which labeling machines operate; therefore, better performing adhesives are necessary. Adhesives that do not provide an immediate bond will slow the performance of the machine and in the end, cause lower productivity, output and a higher defect rate.

Bostik developed the H1926A to meet the demand for a higher performing adhesive for labeling equipment. With an aggressive hot tack, it is ideal for high speed roll-through-labeling equipment and can run at speeds up to 800 cans per minute. The low odor makes this adhesive a favorite among Bostik customers.

Bostik engineers have purposely sourced the raw materials from domestic sources to aid in a secure, uninterrupted supply. Also, the H1926A is genuinely American made.

Jeff Ogren, Bostik s Prodcut Marketing Manager, states, "The H1926A uses dual tackifiers that allow it to bond to difficult substrates. The dual tackifiers also allow bonding to many different kinds of substrates used by roll-thorugh-labelers." Ogren, speaking about the low odor states, "Many customers have switched to the H1926A not only because of the great performance, but the low odor makes it particulary desireable to replace some stronger smelling adhesives. We believe this product will prove to be a favorite in the labeling market."
