Bluestar Silicones at Compamed: Presents its Range of Silicone Solutions for Healthcare Applications

Bluestar Silicones presents its Silbione range of silicones solutions for healthcare applications at the Compamed Show held in Dusseldorf, Germany, from November 20 to 22. The properties of those biocompatible silicones make them an ideal material.

A complete range of solutions for wound management

Bluestar Silicones offers a complete range of technologies for the design of wound management products:

Silbione RT foams. Presented at compamed 2011, they were crowned by Frost & Sullivan "Product differenciation Excellence Award for silicones in Healthcare applications Europe 2012" ;
Silbione RTVs which allow access to smart composite materials;
The new Silbione HC2 gels, launched at compamed 2012, which are excellent adhesives for dressings with atraumatic removal.

Biocompatible technologies

The new products are biocompatible materials (according to ISO 10993). They are guaranteed for microbial safety: all Silbione HC2 products are manufactured in ISO 8 clean rooms part of certified ISO 13485 facilities on three continents...

Bluestar Silicones can guarantee bioburden lower than 100 cfu/g according to ISO 11737-1. This is a must for the manufacture of dressings that will be sterilised prior to contacting open wounds of patients.

Tailor-made silicone technologies

Bluestar Silicones also offers antimicrobial silicone technologies for OEMs and processors, providing tailored material solutions to meet specific healthcare requirements.
