Dow at K Fair: Introduced HYPOD Polyolefin Dispersions for Food & Beverage Packaging

The Dow Chemical Companys (NYSE: Dow) Adhesives & Functional Materials business introduced at the K 2013 fair in Dusseldorf, Germany, its HYPOD Polyolefin Dispersions, a distinctive solution allowing converters and brand owners to create new packaging designs by combining the outstanding performance of polyolefins with the benefits of water-based systems.

HYPOD Polyolefin Dispersions offer converters and brand owners to create structures for customized packaging application needs including paper and paperboard, food packaging and specialty packaging for various applications such as sandwich wrappers, pet food bags, pizza boxes, confectionary, and yogurt lid stock.

Converters will particularly appreciate the good adhesion offered by HYPOD to polyolefin substrates and between paper, foil and film layers, as well as its heat sealability to various polar and non-polar substrates. Its resistance to oil and grease and the excellent water and moisture barrier of HYPOD delivers leakage free and waterproof packaging for safe and shelf-attractive packages. "
