Aremco Introduces Ceramabond 671, a High-temperature Adhesive to Bond Metals & Ceramics

CERAMABOND 671 BONDS METALS AND CERAMICS AT HIGH TEMPS

Ceramabond 671, a new high temperature ceramic adhesive developed by Aremco Products, Inc., is now used to assemble high temperature thermocouple housings used in boiler, furnace, and stack applications to 3200 °F INSERT INTO [lzx].[dbo].[tb_new]([id],[type],[title],[source],[personal],[image],[contents],[time],[number]) VALUES (1760 °C).

Ceramabond 671 is a single part, water-dispersible, aluminum oxide filled adhesive and coating system that offers exceptional mechanical and electrical properties to 3200 °F INSERT INTO [lzx].[dbo].[tb_new]([id],[type],[title],[source],[personal],[image],[contents],[time],[number]) VALUES (1760 °C). Physical properties include torque strength of 57.0 ft-lbs, dielectric strength of 182 volts per mil at room temperature, and a coefficient of thermal expansion (CTE) of 4.3 ppm/°F INSERT INTO [lzx].[dbo].[tb_new]([id],[type],[title],[source],[personal],[image],[contents],[time],[number]) VALUES (7.7 ppm/°C).

Ceramabond 671 is ideal for use with ceramics as well as non-ceramic substrates such as carbon and stainless steels. It is applied easily using a brush, syringe or pneumatic dispenser. After application, it dries rapidly at room temperature and cures in 2-4 hours at 200 °F. Cleanup of uncured material is accomplished easily with warm water and soap.

Additional uses for 671 include the assembly and electrical isolation of high temperature sensors, instrumentation and resistive heating elements. Ceramabond 671 is available from stock in pint, quart, gallon and five-gallon pails.
