Ter Hell to Distribute TSRCs Broad Range of Styrenic Block Copolymers in European Countries

HAMBURG, Germany -- Ter Hell & Co. GmbH, a leading supplier of chemical raw materials, recently announced the signing of a distribution agreement with TSRC (LUX) Corporation S.a.r.l., a leader of todays rubber industry in the market. The agreement names Ter Hell & Co. GmbH as TSRCs distributor for the Taipol and Vector product range in selected European countries.

The Taipol and Vector portfolio consists of a broad range of styrenic block copolymers (SBCs).

With the combined properties of plastics and rubber, thermoplastic TPE is widely used in high-grade shoe soles, asphalt modification, plastic modification, and adhesives. It can be directly processed by injection molding, recycled to lower costs, and used to produce anti-skip soles, as a substitute for PVC and traditional vulcanized rubber.

TPEs have the characteristics of low-viscosity, high-modifiability and blendability, which makes them ideal as a modifier for building materials, asphalt, and water-proofing materials.

Impact and low temperature resistance can be significantly improved by introducing a small amount of TPE in polypropylene, polyethylene, polystyrene and other polymers. These can be used in technical devices, automotive parts, sports equipment, toys and industrial products.

TPE also exhibits excellent compatibility with tackifiers. It can be used to produce adhesives with good strength and still meetstrict environmental requirements. The resulting blends can be used in pressure-sensitive tapes, labels, diapers and other hygiene products.
