Ashland Announces Price Hike for its Range of Intermediates and Specialty Solvents

WILMINGTON, Del. -- Ashland Specialty Ingredients, a commercial unit of Ashland Inc. (NYSE: ASH) is increasing the price of its portfolio of intermediates and specialty solvents effective April 1, or as contracts allow. Prices for 1,4 Butanediol (BDO) and its derivatives Tetrahydrofuran (THF) N-Methyl-2-Pyrrolidone (NMP) and Gamma-Butyrolactone (BLO) will increase by $150/metric ton in Asia and by ?00/metric ton in Europe.
