Incorez at ECS: to Launch High-performance Additives for Use in Sealants and much more

Incorez, a leading global manufacturer of specialist resins and polymers, will present a white paper at the European Coatings Congress 2013 to showcase its latest innovation - Incorez 148/700.

Dr. Shuyuan Liu will represent the Preston-based manufacturer at the Congress, taking place on 18th March 2013 in Nuremburg, and share the technological advances on the new, high performance waterborne epoxy hardener for zero emission self-levelling flooring.

Until now, it has been a challenge for epoxy-based coating systems such as self-levelling flooring to achieve VOC compliance, high performance and low odour whilst keeping costs at a minimum. Using a molecular engineering approach to control the architectural structure, this new generation of water soluble epoxy hardener has been developed to meet technological, economical and legislative requirements in concrete floor protection.

As a leader in his technical field, Dr Shuyuan Liu is a polymer chemist and experienced in a wide range of resin chemistry, technologies in coatings and functional polymers in both academia and industry.

Also at the show... NEW ADDITIVES FOR SEALANTS AND ADHESIVES

Incorez will showcase its expanding product portfolio at the European Coatings Show by introducing two high performance additives for use in sealants and adhesives. Incozol BH is an aldimine latent hardener specially designed for one component PU systems and is suitable for use with both aromatic and aliphatic prepolymers. It prevents the production of CO₂ gas and enables bubble free curing in high build films.

Incorez STP, is a silane terminated polyurethane prepolymer. It is designed for formulation into sealants and adhesives to provide bubble free films with good elastic properties, good adhesion to non-porous substrates, good UV resistance, good workability and a broad range of application possibilities.

Typical applications for these additives include: Flexible joint sealants, construction sealants, elastic bonding adhesives and general sealing and bonding compounds.
