Electrolube at Southern Mfg. & Electronics Exhibition: to Feature Range of Silicone Products & Much More 

The specialist chemicals manufacturer, Electrolube, will launch a new hexane-free flux remover at the Southern Manufacturing and Electronics Exhibition in February. HFFR is a fast-drying cleaning solvent that eliminates the use of the hazardous material n-Hexane. Flux removers commonly consist of a blend of solvents, which can contain low levels of n-hexane, a solvent that has been identified as hazardous to human health; long term exposure can affect the peripheral nervous system. HFFR has been carefully formulated to eliminate low levels of n-Hexane, providing efficient removal of a wide range of flux residues from PCBs and leaves a perfectly clean, dry surface with no residue. Alongside the new flux remover, Electrolube will also focus on their latest thermal management, maintenance and resin products on stand L38.

Thermal Management products featured at the show will include the non-silicone HTCX (Heat Transfer Compound Xtra). Developed using one of Electrolubes proprietary technologies, it provides a number of benefits such as high thermal conductivity, reduced oil bleed and reduced evaporation weight loss, when compared to standard non-silicone products. HTCX is also highly resistant to humidity and thermal cycling and is recommended where efficient and reliable thermal coupling of electrical and electronic components is required, and between any surface where thermal conductivity and heat dissipation is important.

Maintenance and service aid products with impressive green credentials and performance include Electrolubes EADH Air Duster and FREH Freezer Sprays. Featuring the most advanced propellant technology, EADH and FREH are capable of reducing equivalent CO₂ emissions by 99.5% without compromising performance. The new propellant used in EADH and FREH is also exempt from a number of carbon taxes imposed on HFC products; this will vary depending on the Member State however the use of EADH and FREH represents, on average, an 11% price reduction over standard products when factoring in the carbon taxes.

Resins on show will feature Electrolubes range of silicone products, which accomplished record sales in Australia and China before being introduced recently to Europe. The bestseller within the range is the SC3001, an optically clear and flexible two-part resin, developed specifically for LED applications. Offering the highest protection from water, chemicals and a range of environments, SC3001 provides low viscosity, excellent electrical properties and high flexibility. Other products in the silicone range include SC2001, a general potting and encapsulating resin, SC2001FD a fast cure option and SC2003, a thixotropic compound with high thermal conductivity. These silicone resin products enable high continuous operating temperatures and provide an excellent barrier against a number of extreme conditions, making them an excellent addition to the Electrolube range.
