Nusil at Arab Health Exhibition: to Present MED-5440 Translucent Fluorosilicone Rubber and more

NuSil Technology will be exhibiting at Arab Health Exhibition & Congress and featuring newly released MED-5440, a translucent fluorosilicone rubber for healthcare applications. Also featured in the stand this year will be MED-6670, a room temperature curable coating that significantly decreases the coefficient of friction on a cured silicone surface.

MED-5440 is a 100 mol % fluorosilicone elastomer designed to be used with liquid injection molding equipment. As a fluorosilicone, this translucent, medical-grade elastomer resists swell when in contact with or immersed in dimethyl fluids and most solvents or oils. MED-5440 is a two-part, 1:1 mix ratio silicone rubber with a Type A durometer of 40, ideal for molding high quality parts at rapid rates. Some typical applications for MED-5440 include O-rings, gaskets, seals, and precision molded parts for implant applications requiring silicones of medium durometers which resist swell.
