Milliken Buys GeoTree Technologies, a Geopolymer Provider for Sealants

SPARTANBURG, SC -- Global innovation leader, Milliken & Company, has completed a transaction to acquire GeoTree Technologies, Inc., a geopolymer-based materials provider headquartered in Lafayette, Colorado, whose proprietary products provide a highly effective solution for infrastructure rehabilitation.

With the acquisition of GeoTree, Milliken continues its mission to help public and private entities re-think their approach to building and infrastructure challenges around the globe. Milliken designs systems that help entities make smarter choices for using their limited resources to strengthen and rehabilitate existing infrastructure. The end result is a range of material innovations that are more effective, are faster and easier to install, and are better for the environment.

GeoTree manufactures geopolymers used in the rehabilitation of aging infrastructure. GeoTrees products include geopolymer mortar for spray or spincast applications, a geopolymer-based aerated concrete system, sealants and cement additives. These geopolymers offer a number of benefits over traditional maintenance and repair products across a variety of applications, including large concrete and metal pipes, stormwater and sewage systems, and soil stabilization applications.
