Sika to Strengthen its Construction Chemicals Business with Acquisition of Inatec

Sika has agreed to acquire Inatec SRL in Paraguay. Inatec, a privately owned company with a strong position in the construction chemicals market, is located in Asunción with annual sales of CHF 7 million.

Sika AG has agreed to acquire 100% of Inatec SRL, the market leader in Paraguay in the area of construction chemicals. Inatec, founded in 1982, has a strong position in the refurbishment, waterproofing and concrete admixtures market. The company has manufacturing facilities in Asunci贸n, the capital city of Paraguay.

Paraguay is a new country for Sika and completes its already strong position in Latin America. With Inatec, Sika will gain a leading position in the Paraguayan market and will benefit from the strong growth in the construction industry of Paraguay. Sika will take part in this development and further leverage Inatecs sales channels with Sikas product range.

With this acquisition, Sika continues its successful strategy of investing in the emerging markets.
