UPM Raflatac at Salon Emballage: Highlights its Focus on Developing Next Generation Standard Products

UPM Raflatac is exhibiting at the international packaging exhibition Salon Emballage in Paris on November 19-22. Under the theme Take the label to the limit, UPM Raflatac highlights its focus on developing next generation standard products with fit-for-purpose performance and economy. Also highlighted are the latest investments on special product capabilities and tailored solutions.

UPM Raflatac has been constantly introducing new solutions to meet the demand for good environmental performance and efficient use of raw materials. Prime examples of sustainable product design are the thin and recyclable ProLiner PP30, and the FSC certified Phenol Free Thermal Eco for weigh-price labelling.

Closed loop solution for paper release liner recycling

Visitors are welcome to learn more on UPM Raflatacs solutions for recycling by-products from the self-adhesive labelstock value chain. UPMs in-house solution for paper release liner recycling is available through the RafCycle waste management concept in Europe. Label printers, packers and brand owners can have spent release paper collected for recycling back into pulp and paper at UPMs paper mill in Germany, saving on waste disposal costs from landfill or incineration. On UPM Raflatacs stand, visitors can also have a look and feel on the UPM ProFi wood-plastic composite decking that is manufactured from recycled paper and plastic from self-adhesive labelstock production.
