Omnova Introduces PLIOTEC® EL45, an Acrylic Polymer for Adhesive Layers in EIFS

FAIRLAWN, OHIO -- Omnova Solutions announces the launch of PLIOTEC® EL45 a 100% acrylic polymer for EIFS (exterior insulation finishing systems) and concrete admixtures. PLIOTEC EL45 polymer can be used as the binder for the adhesive, basecoat and topcoat layers in EIFS. This polymer provides excellent scrub and washing resistance in high humidity/low temperature applications. Other key properties include color retention, crack bridging, UV stability, low water absorption and freeze thaw stability.

PLIOTEC EL45 also can be used as an admixture for concrete. Admixtures formulated with PLIOTEC EL45 provide superior adhesion and flexural bond strength along with an extended open time when used in combination with mortar or cement. This product is available in bulk shipments or 1,000 liter/ 264 gallon totes.
